Puzzled about what to get? Our Editors' Favourite Jigsaw Picks

Jigsaw puzzles are a must for the holiday season, they’re perfect for dipping into between your annual rewatch of Home Alone and your next box of mince pies... Get friends and family puzzling together or escape the hustle and bustle for some solo puzzle time.

A Book Lover’s Christmas (Ayesha’s pick)

This year I’ll be piecing together A Book Lover’s Christmas, an immediate festive classic for my family. Spot your favourite Christmas scenes from novels, short stories, poems and fairy tales then cosy up to read excerpts on the accompanying poster. We’ll be enjoying this one for many Christmases to come!

The World of the Great Gatsby (Philip’s pick)

I’ll be getting everyone around the table to put together Adam Simpson’s sumptuous take on The Great Gatsby, just ahead of its centenary next year. The box is perfect for the holidays with its dazzling gold foil and the illustration is brimming with Art Deco elegance (and decadence). Experience Fitzgerald’s captivating novel in a whole new way with this stunning puzzle.

Pet Party (Ayesha’s pick)

The kids will be having a blast creating their own festivities with Pet Party. This isn’t just any jigsaw, it’s a shaped pieces jigsaw… Each piece is in the shape of a partying pet, adorned with party hats, maracas and roller skates. Fit them all together to complete their soiree!

 Wild Seas (Philip’s pick)

This is a really exciting puzzle for us, as it’s the first 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle we’ve done that includes both regular and shaped pieces. (Pet Party, of course, is entirely made up of shaped pieces, as are our fan favourites 299 Cats and a Dog and 299 Dogs and a Cat,299 Dogs and a Cat, both perfect for the dog/cat lover in your life (delete as appropriate!). The illustration is by Good Wives and Warriors, who also brought you The Mythical World, and is based on their book Return of the Wild, which tells of the extraordinary ways nature has come back from the brink. You can learn about some of these environmental success stories from around the world on the accompanying poster.
